My Life Would Suck Without You

So this summer has been lots o' fun! Me and Heather had a fun trip down memory lane whilst waiting for midnight, or rather 12:15am to strike for the new Harry potter movie. We discovered that we are old now and get tired of waiting with a bunch of hardcore Harry nerds. A couple weeks ago me and Tommy decided it'd be good to get out of SoCal and spent a few days in San Fransisco. It was great! However neither of us were aware that summer time up there is FREEZING! Most of the first day was spent finding jumbo jackets and pants. The drive up there was fun, we took a detour to Sonic because it's Sonic. The rest of the five or so hours we took turns driving. After checking into the hotel we drove down to the wharf and Ghiradelli Square and went to a wax museum, the aquarium, and roamed Pier 39, which is basically a bunch of cool little shops. We were so tired from all the walking and driving though, so we turned in a little early and ordered some pizza. The next day we took a double decker bus tour around the city. We stopped in China Town and finally found the fortune cookie factory (awesomeness!) and bought some chocolate adult fortune cookies. After some lunch on the pier we went to the sourdough bread factory and wrangled a giant sourdough alligator. Then we took a little cruise around the Bay. It was freezing up on deck though, so after we passed under the Golden Gate Bridge and past Alcatraz, we went below deck to the warmth. I really wanted to go on a cable car ride afterwards too, but the line was just waaaaay too long, so I consoled myself with a picture next to one lol. The next day was spent mostly on the Pacific Coast Highway driving back home. We left around 11:30 and didn't get back til around 9! It was a really beautiful road though, we were practically on the ocean the whole time. We stopped for a beach once and then another time for gas ($4.75 a gallon!) in the middle of nowhere. Then when we were dying of starvation we got some snacks at a gas station only to discover just a few more miles down the road was a McDonalds. Finally last week the crew drove down to Newport to celebrate Marc's birthday on the beach. It was cool except for the massive quantities of sand that made its way into every nook and cranny of my body. Me and Heather splashed around in the waves while the boys played Quidditch with a bouncy ball. I came back so burned and sore! Lucky I have a huge container of aloe vera, which has thus far prevented any nasty peelings. O! And now I'm teaching Jon how to drive. It's pretty fun, I just wish I could come up with more interesting things to do while driving. I've come to realize that its mostly just about practice and I really don't explain things well lol. That's been pretty much it except those boring days of work in between.
