Well, Easter is close--note the reappearance of the bunnies in my icon.
I got up, made 2 batches of cupcakes and cookies (but still have to make another 28 cookies) for tomorrow's egg roll at Faith. I have to get up really early tomorrow to ice the cupcakes, or else stay up late tonight--my guess is early will trump late.
Right now, as soon as I get through with this, I'm off to run errands, including mailing an Easter present to my great-nephew Ethan. He loves Thomas the Tank Engine, and I found a Thomas Easter train at Target.
Then I still have to finish my local Easter cards--international and out of town have gone already--and somewhere in here, I'd like to look for a new Easter dress. Yes, I'm far from a little girl anymore, but a new dress at Easter is one of my traditions.
For a much older tradition, our EFM group is hosting a Seder dinner at St. G's tomorrow evening, complete with roast lamb, spinach, new potatoes, haroseth, matzoh and the symbolic elements--salt water (for the Israelites' tears), bitter herbs (for the pain they suffered being enslaved in Egypt), boiled egg and shank bone of a lamb. It's amazing to step back into time and understand what Jesus was doing when he celebrated the Passover meal with his disciples--and just how revolutionary God's actions in sending Jesus were.
Off now, or I could ramble on all day. Have a wonderful Friday and weekend.
