Chapter 7:
Celestiaña and Dragan looked at one another before deciding the same thing. The two Gaelicans took to the air as a blue flare lit up the now empty bar. Major Tripoli walked into the bar, with his black boots hitting the wooden boards. As he looked around, he didn’t see the figures of the Gaelicans, but he caught the remains of their auras. One yellow remain and the other a brown with a blue tint. He stared at the auras before turning on his heel and walking outside. He looked at the city, shaking his head, and then his aura flared a bright blue. He raised his hands above his head towards the sky, threw his head back and screaming:
On the other side of building, Raizè and Kyiuma were suddenly picked up. Kyiuma began to feel her being picked up from the ground and soon felt the breeze on her face. As Raizè looked over at Kyiuma, he saw that she was surrounded by a brown aura with blue tints, and also saw the woman soon freaking out.
“Kyiuma, I suggest, you don’t really move around much.” Raizè turned and looked at her. Dragan’s yellow coloured eyes looked at Kyiuma, who slowly started to calm down.
“How did I end up in the air?” She heard Dragan chuckle and yet stay quiet.
“Well, let’s see. Celestiaña has the power to levitate and control the air movement. I, on the other hand, can control electricity and some aspects of the air. But to answer your question, Celestiaña and I were running out here away from Tripoli who has seemed to disappear. As we took to the sky, we decided that you might be interested in not getting caught either.” Dragan looked at Kyiuma, who reached her hand out to the yellow aura and then reached out father and noticed that half of her hand glowed a yellow tint.
“What is this?” She stared at her hand a few more minutes, before realizing that she wasn’t going to be dropped anytime.
“It’s an aura.” Celestiaña’s voice broke the silence between the four of them. Raizè turned his head towards look at the thief, as she gazed into the horizon. Dragan began to descend over a patch of trees, and then soon found a clearing. Celestiaña was right behind him, with her aura beginning to fade around her.
Kyiuma found her feet, as Raizè helped her stand, looking around at their surroundings. :What are we doing out here?: Raizè was becoming extremely confused but then heard ruffling of the trees and brushes. Kyiuma began to back up, and ended up colliding with Raizè who looked petrified. Dragan couldn’t help but not laugh, but with Celestiaña’s glare stopped any laughter from escaping his laugh. The merchant’s yellow aura flared, as the sounds of footsteps became louder with each step. The corner’s of Celestiaña’s mouth pulled themselves into an upper smirk as the movement stopped.
Celestiaña’s head turned back to look at the trio standing behind her. She took notice of Kyiuma’s outfit and then scratched the back of her neck. “Kyiuma, do you happen to have anything that is a bit more form fitting?” Celestiaña motioned to her own appearance, which had once again changed.
Kyiuma nodded and spoke: “I do, but they’re back at my house.” Dragan looked at the shrubbery, and then extended his hand. In his palm, a yellow ball of electricity crackled. “Reveal yourself, now.” His voice was calm, almost too calm. Celestiaña’s eyes faded from their lilac colour to the white. The movement was around them in a circle; there wasn’t another way out if they were surrounded. Raizè pulled Kyiuma closer to him, as the figures appeared themselves. Dragan’s left hand remained at his side, and his energy pulsating in his palm. Celestiaña looked at them again, and she smirked at them.
“Get out here. Don’t hide yourself anymore.” She barked the order out, and the trio saw fifteen men appear. Each one them dropping to their left knee, with the heads bowed. Kyiuma and Raizè looked bewildered, while Dragan followed suit as the fifteen men. Celestiaña stared at the men, and felt her powers throw everyone of the kneeling men away from her.
“If you don’t get up, now, I’ll . . . “Celestiaña’s voice trailed off as a flicker of power erupted relatively close to their group. The kneeling men soon found their feet, and circled around their leader.
“Who are these people?” Kyiuma asked, as one ran back towards the shrubbery.
“It’s the small remains of the Gaelican Underground Thievery Group. It’s the remaining people who weren’t caught, executed, tortured or who left Gaelica.” Dragan answered, with his aura glowing around them. Raizè caught Celestiaña’s quick flick of her wrist, and saw a dagger flying through the air. If he wasn’t surrounded by thieves right now, he might question her actions, but they were revealed all before his eyes. A clank of metal was heard, and the dagger fell to the grass.
”What was that clank of metal?” Raizè asked, with a curiosity, and noticed that some of the men and even Dragan was walking over there. Celestiaña couldn’t help but let her mind wander, regardless that all the men were now walking up the plank staring at her.
“Celestiaña!” Dragan yelled, as a ball of cracking electricity hit her. The white haired thief glared at him, and walked up the plank and into the main control room.
Major Tripoli stared at the report in hand. He couldn’t believe that she had escaped; quite literally. He was already in hot water with the king, not only for letting her escape from prison on Earth, but because his son was dead because of her. His honey coloured eyes blinked in confusion as he completely missed what the private had just said.
“Could you repeat that please?” He watched the private hand him, yet, another piece of paper.
“Major Rivatôs, the Captain wanted me to give you this.” The private motioned to the paper that Tripola was looking at. The scribbled writing, the Gaelican could only make out, was concerning Celestiaña. The private began to say something again. “The Captain also wants to see you in his office.” Tripola silently groaned. :Yet, another trip to the office.:
As Major Tripoli walked down the metal corridors with his metal boots making a clicking sound as he walked, he couldn’t help but remember the first time he was called into the Captain’s office.
A brown haired, honey coloured eyed First Sergeant stared at the door at the end of the metallic hallway. As he walked the lasers deactivated themselves, creating a path as he walked, and after passing by them, the maze of lasers reappeared. He had to laugh and at the technology here, but dared not to say anything. After all, he found these people to be quite strange in their actions. The humans here were strange; they were screaming because someone kept robbing the businesses.
As First Sergeant Tripoli entered in his four digit code to enter the Captain’s office, he couldn’t help but wonder what he was about to enter. Nothing, either, could help him prepare for the information he was about ready to be told.
As Tripoli opened the door, he walked in, saluting the Captain. The captain’s eyes looked familiar to the First Sergeant, however he couldn’t place where. After all, most of the humans looked familiar and there was virtually no way of telling relatives apart. At least on Gaelica, it was fairly easy to tell people apart - their aura and energy was unique.
“Sir, you wanted to see me?” He tried not to sound nervous, as his feet felt like lead bricks as he walked. He walked over to a chair and sat down, his gaze meeting the Captain’s eerie jade emotionless eyes.
“Of course, First Sergeant Tripoli. I wanted to make you feel welcomed on getting here today, as I heard it was a long plane rid across the Pacific Ocean from America.” The Captain smiled and looked at Tripoli.
“It wasn’t too bad actually. Minus the sixteen hour plane ride.” Tripoli’s mind running ninety miles to a minute trying to figure out where he knew the familiar pair of fuchsia eyes.
“Well, would you like your first assignment?” The Captain’s hands flipped open file and handed it to Tripoli. Tripoli didn’t respond, but instead opened the file, and saw multiple pictures of the one person he never wanted to see again; the person that was the reason he was on this disgusting planet - Celestiaña.
“Sir, pardon me, but is this not the wanted criminial?” Tripoli turned over a picture, and began looking at the next one. Each picture was different from the previous one.
“It definitely is my daughter, the wanted criminal, herself.” Jachnue’s eyes looked at the First Sergent, awaiting a response or reaction.
“Pardon me, Sir?” Tripoli raised his head and looked at the Gaelican.
“You heard me correctly. That’s my daughter, Tripoli.” Jachnue wasn’t sure if Tripoli would actually understand that he was sent here as well. “Also, while around me, alone, drop the ‘Sir’ part. We’re of an equal rank.”
“Well, I can’t say that I wasn’t informed, because I wasn’t. Why did the King send you here?” Tripoli’s mind was really confused. He dropped the file out of his hands, and continued to wrack his brain for more information.
“The King doesn’t know that I left. I told him that I was going awhile for a tad while. Tripoli you were at that sentencing, did you not see the look on her face?” Jachnue looked at his First Sergeant.
“You’re correct. She did look like someone had completely taken away her powers; which why wasn’t that an option?” Tripoli’s gaze fell on the file again. He couldn’t believe that the convicted thief was her. His Captain was her father, and he was on Earth.
“The King ordered that she have her powers, but was to be exiled to a planet where she couldn’t use her powers in the public’s eye. I’m sure you’ve noticed that.”
“Well, of course, but at the same time, this doesn’t make sense. Why was I put on this case?” Tripoli’s fingers turned over another incident report from the police.
“Well, with her powers, she can take quite literally, the form of whatever she wants. The human police cannot believe that a female like her had actually outsmarted them. Which for us, is quite easy for us to understand; as Gaelicans, we manipulate the energy that we possess. It makes it somewhat easy to trace - every energy pattern has a trace of person. We also have an edge against her, Trilpoli; We both know her and the way that she’s most likely to move.” Jachnue’s eyes looked at the door that had just been knocked on. Tripoli looked at the door, and then looked at the report again.
”Come in.” Jachnue’s voice was back to the commanding tone.
“Sir, sorry to have disturbed you. It seems she’s struck again. This time, it was a jewelry store on 5th and 19th.” The young Staff Sergeant reported. He walked towards the Captain’s desk, and handed him the report. Turning on his heel, he headed out the door.
“How many of us are here?” Tripoli’s hand reached out for the report that was recently placed on the desk.
“There are four of us that I know of.” Jachnue replied. Tripoli’s eyes glanced over the report.
“Are you allowed to say who?” Tripoli closed the file, deciding that it was better to keep it closed. There was a lot of information here, and it would surely give his team more than enough to work on.
“All I know is . . . “ Jachnue’s voice trailed off as he studied Tripoli’s face. “Celestiaña, you and myself. I don’t know who the fourth person is.” He whispered it, and gave a curt nod to the First Sergent. As Tripoli stood up, saluted the Captain, and turned on his heel, he said his goodbye, not only in English but whispered it in Gaelican as he walked out the door. The file clutched tightly in his hand. The only sound that was heard from the Captain’s room was the sound of the boots hitting the metallic floor.
__
Triploli stared at the door, as he clutched the handle. That day had been fourteen years ago - the day that he found out his Commanding Officer was Gaelican. He thought he was the only one on this planet, but it turned out; there were at least three more. Tripoli’s assignment still hadn’t changed since that one day -- capture the exiled thief.
As Tripoli walked into the familiar office, he smirked. How many times had he walked in here, feeling quite scared - this time only to be able to say something completely different? Jachnue’s eyes met his own honey coloured orbs, and the Commanding Officer soon found himself unable to stop smiling.
“What’s the good news, Major?” The Captain couldn’t help but wonder why Tripoli was grinning like a chestier cat.
“I found the fourth Gaelican on this thing they call a planet.” He saw the Captain’s eyebrows raise.
“You know who the fourth person is?” Disbelief was beginning to take over Jachnue’s body as he couldn’t believe it. Was it someone that Celestiaña trusted, or was it someone else that the King had no idea about?
“A familiar Gaelican Thief, and an undercover spy for the Gaelican Royal Family - Dragan.” Jacnue’s eyes widened.
“On the family crest, you know it’s him?” Tripoli’s head raised and lowered, in an approving manner. It was obvious that Tripoli was missing something here.
“Do I get to know what I’m missing to this puzzle, Captain?” Tripoli hadn’t sat down yet, and he wasn’t about to. He was assigned to the case fourteen years ago when she arrived on Earth. She had spent seven of those years in prison, and seven years hiding and managing to be two steps ahead of the Major.
“Dragan . . . is not just a undercover spy for the King; he’s also the right hand man to Celestiaña. Do you remember during the trial, how the robberies were pulled off even when she was in our custody?” Jachnue stood up out of his chair, and walked over to a television screen. As he touched an imaginary menu, Tripoli saw the monitor reveal two profiles of Dragan: his human appearance and Gaelican appearance. “Although, the human, we cannot be sure if this is him or not - but we know the Gaelican one is true.”
Tripoli’s eyes widened. “Captain, that’s the person that can shoot energy arrows.”
“Well, yes, that’s a trait of his. He can almost second guess what move your going to make. He’s a great thief, but a mean person to have as an enemy in a battle.” The monitor split itself into four quadrants. The top halve being the two profiles of Dragan, and the bottom halve revealing a Gaelican picture of Celestiaña, and many smaller hand sketches, and handwritten descriptions of her. “As you can tell, the police here haven’t been too successful at getting either one of them. That’s where you and I come in. We’re going to have to be three steps ahead of them.” Tripoli grinned, almost knowing where this conversation was going to go. All he had to do was wait, and be patient. His revenge would be soon coming.
Dragan was absolutely bored out of his mind. He knew Celestiaña had a larger plan, but he was now excluded from knowing it. The sky blue haired Gaelican managed to get himself thrown out of the control room and now he sat staring at the door, only hearing muted sounds from the room.
Dragan stood up, realizing he wasn’t going to get into the room anytime soon and decided to walk around the ship. It hadn’t been long, probably an hour, since they took off of Earth; no one dared mentioned to Celestiaña that she wasn’t allowed off of Earth, but no one said anything, nor did they ask where they were headed. The sky blue Gaelican could sense the confusion in the pair of humans that stayed relatively close to the white-haired thief. :Surely, they couldn’t be that dense not to realize where she’s going?: Dragan couldn’t do anything about it now; they were miles from Earth, and as he reached the door, he heard the soft voices of Raizè and Kyiuma. He laid his hands against the keypad, entered a key combination and heard the hiss of the door.
As he walked in, Raizè looked at Dragan, and smiled. Kyiuma was still glaring daggers at him; the reason was still unknown to him. As he sat down on a stool, the Gaelicans hands flew over the invisible menu. Soon, in his hands, a root beer float appeared.
“So, why are you out here?” Dragan looked at his supervisor and then took a sip of his drink.
“Because she threw me out of there?” The Gaelican pointed to the room where the thieves were walking out of, chuckling and talking amongst themselves.
“Dragan, she didn’t throw you out.” Kyiuma looked at the now wide open door.
“So what would you define as screaming in Gaelican, throwing a sword at me, diverting all energy at me and then kicking me, quite literally, out the door?” Dragan took a gulp of his drink.
“I call it to the fact that you had a sword thrown at you, energy sent at you, and kicking you out the do-“ Dragan turned around to see the white-haired thief standing in the doorway. Kyiuma’s eyes scanned around the room, and seeing how the four of them were in the room alone, she felt her eyebrows shot up. The curiousity was bubbling inside of her, and the words spilled out of her mouth.
“Why are we the only four in here?” Celestiaña blinked at the trio, and before taking a seat across from Dragan. Her white pupils gazing into the sky blue orbs.
“Dragan, I didn’t throw you out. You knew what was going to happen, and what was going to be said.” Celestiaña attempted to reach Dragan’s hand.
“Celest, it doesn’t matter that I know what your doing; no one else does. Just tell them what your going after, and I’m sure they’re willing to follow you.” Dragan pulled his hand back, and began wiping the condensation off of the glass.
“Like they’d be willing to follow me into battle? See where that got me the last time; exiled! Oh, and Dragan, the next time you get exiled, I’ll be sure to attend, because you weren’t at mine.” Celestiaña stood up, and started to turn on her heel. As she walked out, she heard Dragan yell at her.
“How dare you say that I didn’t follow you, to the ends and back? You know my position with King.”
“Your position with the King? You call an undercover spy for the King a position? Who knows what you’ve been telling him about me.” Celestiaña’s eyes narrowed while she glared daggers at Dragan.
“Do you think I’m that stupid that I’d tell the King that we’re going back to the place your not suppose to be?” Dragan stood up, knocking the chair to the floor.
“I don’t know, you tell me.” Celestiaña took another step towards the door, but was immediately stopped by an arrow of yellow. Placing her left hand on the arrow, soon yellow sparkled dust fell to the floor. As Celestiaña walked out of the room, Dragan wasn’t in the least expecting to find some weapons pointed in his direction, but instead he received blank looks and confusion written all over their faces.
Dragan looked at the small pen, which was now frantically beeping. He sighed and walked out of the room. He never saw Celestiaña staring at the opposite door, smiling.

“. . . Sir, we can’t find her.” The microphone crackled. The voice was raspy, but somewhat clear.
“Excuse me? She’s still on Earth, correct?” Dragan’s eyes stared out of the large glass panel, mock window.
“Well . . . Yes, she’s still on Earth, just not in prison here.” The first voice began to chuckle nervously.
“Are you sure she’s on Earth?” A third voice chimed in. The high pitched voice could only belong to the one person that Dragan disliked - the redhead who was an insider for Celestiaña. Although Celestiaña seemed to trust her, the redhead seemed to give away too much information sometimes.
“Fairly sure. Where was she going to go, Gaelica? I think everyone knows what her ship looks like. I remember when she was transported here, that ship took a bad beating. It was in pieces by the time it landed, far, away from any towns.” The first voice answered.
Dragan stared in disbelief, did they think that Celestiaña was going to be that stupid and take her own ship? His eyes focused on the picture, and as he turned off the microphone, he wandered into the main control room.

As Dragan appeared behind Celestiaña, he placed his arms around her tiny shoulders. He placed his head in the crook of her neck and shoulders, and said: “I have news for you.” As he said those words, she turned her head and looked at him, raising an eyebrow.
“Oh? Do share.” Before Dragan said anything, the door hissed opened. Celestiaña’s hands flew over the keyboard, although as she typed, nothing new was showing up. Dragan lifted his head and saw Kyiuma and Raizè walking towards them.
“What’s going on?” Kyiuma took a seat across from Raizè while Dragan moved away from Celestiaña and sat next to Raizè.
“Everything seems to be running fine.” Celestiaña’s left hand double clicked on a menu, which expanded into another menu, and within a few more touches to the menu, a screen appeared. She took a seat next to Kyiuma, and soon the door hissed open. Fifteeen men walked into the room, and sat in a semi-circle around the four people sitting down. Kyiuma’s eyes looked at Celestiaña who took a breath before saying anything.
“Kyiuma, and Raizè, I’d like you-“ Celestiaña was cut off by the screen beeping, and the lights beginning to flash a red. The microphone was attached to Dragan’s hip crackled with Jachnue’s voice ringing clear as the ocean.
“We’ve got a code red; Celestiaña isn’t on Earth. Be on high alert.” Dragan looked at Celestiaña whose eyes were a deep violet colour. The menus seemed to appearing, flashing for a second, then disappearing. The white-haired thief was barking out orders loud enough that no one dared even asking for what reason. As Dragan ran out of the room leaving Kyiuma and Celestiaña in there, Raizè was daring and decided to ask the question that was bothering him the most.
“Does this mean it’s going to be a race from the police?” Dragan, couldn’t help but smile at Raizè.
“Yes, this does mean we’re going to be running. Your quite in the middle of it all too. C’mon, let’s go.” Dragan took a left and entered the armoury of the ship. It was already that the fifteen thieves were suiting up. Dragan threw a suit at Raizè who quickly put on the armour.

Celestiaña stared at the microphone that Dragan had left for her. She plugged in the microphone into the television screen and smirked. There was no way they were going to find her. Her destination: the last place they’d look for her.
