Awwww, shucks. Really liked reading this entry. Thank you (even if my stories are as focused as a drop of food coloring in a bucket of water).
Meanwhile, the subject line refers to the book title I was trying to come up with earlier -- it's by Calvin Trillin. Poetry slamming the Bush administration. I've put it on my "to read" list and it could come in soon (from the Mounds View lib) -- along with others by him that I've put on request (he's a frequent contributor to the New Yorker -- essays mostly, poetry - not so much and not usually political either, so you might like him, I don't know -- haven't read him myself) and others too (that nonrequired reading guy's compilation, for example). OK, for someone who wants to write, that was the world's worst sentence. But I'm cooking dinner and not rewriting.
Re: writing for the daily show -- yeah, right. One descendant of Yoil on Comedy Central is probably enough, but if you want to pitch me to "Cousin Jon," feel free. So long as I could be the Minnesota stringer/telecommute.
Glad you posted! Thanks again sweetie. Love, mom (who else?)

arrrrgh, spooky! I comment and then what do I see? The comments of the others! It's Eggers, not Eggars, in case anybody else is thinking about reading "Heartbreaking work..."
Ooh, I didn't know John Irving wrote about writing. Will have to look into that. Thanks Carmen! I'm going to watch Eddie this weekend -- I promise (David, remind me). -- mom again (still)
