1. First Name: Megan. My dad picked it from a baby name book. Special, huh?
2. Age: 23.
3. Location: Greenville, SC. Just returned indefinitely from living in Kansas City, MO for five years.
4. Occupation:...freeloader? Not really. Currently unemployed, recently left a full-time receptionist job in KC. Definitely do not miss it.
5. Partner?: Raun Meyn, Esq. We've been together since September of '06. He now lives in Chicago, but we're not actively seeking other partners, so technically, Raun is still 100% boyfriend. I love him to little writhing pieces.
6. Kids: Might pop one out someday. Two at the most. I feel like my "biological clock" is ticking to some degree; I'd like to have whatever children I'm going to have between the ages of 28 and 35. After that...who wants to be 45 with a newborn??? Nooooo thank you. I see what that's done to some of my relatives...
7. Brothers/Sisters: Zip, zilch, zero. Only child FTW.
8. Pets: Five cats. Ebbie, Kodee, Shade, Saffron, Myrrhmur (that's in age order. 11, 7, 5, 2, 2.) Saffron and Myrrhmur moved here with me from KC.
9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:
A) Keeping my wonderful relationship with Raun alive.
B) Adjusting to life in Greenville, which includes getting my studio and bedroom in working order. It's taking a bit longer than expected.
C) Working myself up to finally getting my driver's license.
D) Finding my art and/or craft niche and using it to make money...somehow. Hopefully by starting my own business online via www.etsy.com.
10. Where and for what did you go to school?: Kansas City Art Institute, BFA in printmaking. That's right, I was institutionalized for four years. It was a bittersweet experience. To avoid confusion, no, I don't necessarily print anymore. I'm more of a mixed media drawing/painting kind of girl.
11. Parents: I live in their house. Dad is crazy, talented, and often depressed. Mom is a bit high-strung and clingy. Otherwise, I couldn't have asked for a better pair. I wound up an agnostic liberal in the southern sea of Bible Belt conservatives, because they always encouraged me to think for myself, form my own opinions, be knowledgeable, and do what makes me happy.
12. Who are some of your closest friends?: In no particular order: James, JP, Kevin, Abby, Ashley, Crystal, Jeff. And Raun, of course.
