*falls asleep*
Didn't go to the gym today, even though I meant to... did a bunch of exercises while I was watching Star Trek and stuff, though. So now my legs are all sore, which is yay.
Finished my readings for tomorrow, outlined my LTD. Will start on that in the morning and finish it during lunch. I keep wanting to panic over not having time to do CC2 stuff, but I've already finished most of the worksheets, and the papers are like, 2-3 pages each. And I have CC2 Wednesday night. And I don't even have work tomorrow. So uh, the likelihood of that being an overwhelming amount of work is really slim.
Supervisor was out sick today, so she called me in to do an extra hour. Which I'd been planning on coming in for anyway, so good deal. We've got duplex printing set up on the computers now, but I don't know how to work it yet, because it's not set up on ICYou. *facepalm* It's been pretty busy lately (we had... 49 computers in use at our peak today?), so I can't really just hop onto a nearby computer and check out the new printing features. Maybe Wednesday when I have work again.
Got my package notification this morning. It looked weird, but I didn't question it, and then at work I noticed I had another package notification. Realized that I'd actually received a new package this morning, and it just took them forever to send me the notification for the one that arrived over the weekend. Good deal. So Miku wig and laptop battery are go~. Problem being that my other textbook somehow got sent to Bakersfield, and is still in transit. Hopefully it'll arrive soon so I can beg mom to send it to me. Yay for buying it early, I guess.
Miku wig is fun, but my hair was super staticy today, and so was the wig. I'm going to blame the weather. D: But I need to find some way to like... de-staticify it so it doesn't get so crazy.
As for today's Star Trekking: that whole "why did you marry mother?" line is so much more terrible in the original series. The context is so completely different and just facepalm. This series is so misogynist sometimes. By which I mean most of the time. Then again, Spock's entire family is just so fucked up in the series that I'm not even certain who I feel most sorry for. After her whole bitch slap and "IF YOU DO THIS I WILL HATE YOU FOR FUCKING EVER. D:" it's kinda hard to feel sorry for her when Spock and daddy are all "Yeeeaaah. Why in fuck do we put up with this."
It just seems sorta left-field after spending the entire episode with Spock being all "UH, YEAH. THAT'S MY FATHER. I'M GOING TO BE OVER HERE NOW AND WE'RE JUST NOT GOING TO TALK BECAUSE UH, WE DON'T LIKE EACH OTHER. :D;; HI MOM. HOW ARE YOU?" Then again, I guess I wouldn't really blame him for getting pissy at her just over the course of the episode. What with telling embarassing childhood stories to McCoy and then being all "NO, I CAN'T LET YOU TRY TO SAVE YOUR FATHER BECAUSE THAT MIGHT KILL YOU TOO." and then "WTF, HOW DARE YOU LISTEN TO ME." Crazy bipolar woman. *shoos Spock's family away and replaces them with movie-verse*
I like how much movie-verse is just all "HEY THAR, WE FIXED IT." with that entire thing. Same line, fixed context, and an added "I'll always be proud of you because I'm your mom. :D" moment, which is a little better than the "I'm so proud of you. :D Wait, fuck that, I HATE YOU AND YOUR LOGIC. D:"
So yeah. Pretty much understand why Spock was apparently all "FUCK YOU GAIZ, I'M JOINING STARFLEET AND NEVER VISITING HOME, EVEN IF I HAPPEN TO BE ON THE PLANET AT THE TIME. NO, YOU CAN'T COME TO MY WEDDING. I DON'T EVEN WANT TO GO TO MY WEDDING. FML. D:"
In other news, I love how Kirk is always all "NO, FUCK YOUR PLANET'S LAWS, YOU CAN'T ARREST MY OFFICERS OR MYSELF." in every incident except for the one taking place in Vegas. Because in Star Trek, murdering a dancer in Vegas stays in Vegas, but if you want to be able to come BACK to Vegas, you damned well better turn that bitch over no questions asked. Even if he is innocent. The sanctity of being able to stop by Vegas whenever is worth far more than the life of one guy, even if he is a main character.
This is what happens when Spock stays on ship. Kirk takes someone else with him to pick up women and then bad things happen. Damnit, Jim.
We have vegetables again. This is super exciting for me. *drowns in salad*
