Train Museum event.

Back from Sacramento. Woo.

Train museum was fun. The lecture was really interesting, it was about Winston Link (the photographer). His pictures are really amazing. Their prints were so expensive. T.T And humongous. I just wanted some medium-sized ones for my dorm. :/ But they didn't have any. And the only one they had postcard sized (of my favorites) REALLY doesn't work as postcard. ._. You lose all the detail, which is the main point of the photo. ._.

This gallery has a few of the ones I liked.

The Empire is as amazing and shiny as ever, and they still have no merchandise of it. D:

The banquet was nice enough... food was pretty decent. Wasn't terribly fond of what they did with the mashed potatoes, but the steak was pretty good, and the salads were nice. While we were browsing the gallery, they had the most AMAZING cheese I've ever tasted. I'd kill to know what it was. It had herbs and stuff in it, and ohmygod. They also had these amazing little star-shaped fruits, which were just kind of nice and pretty. Didn't taste bad, just different. Dessert had an amazing chocolate-pecan pie thing which was love.

Stayed at the Sheraton overnight, since Uncle Earl couldn't cancel all the rooms. It was so nice to stay in a good hotel. x.x; I'd started to forget what really high quality hotels were like, and now I'm remembering why they're worth the money. Woke up today with the intention of sitting around and reading, and fell asleep again like, immediately. God, I love those beds.

Went out to the brunch buffet at the Delta Queen today. Guh, so wonderful. <3 The desserts were amazing, the muffins were amazing, the salmon was amazing. Really nice place to eat.

Yeah... after that, did a bit of wandering around Old Town, got something for Nagi, and then headed back here.

Keep trying to make myself better with "oh well, there's always next year." ... and then I realize that there's not, since I'll be abroad. :/ I kind of miss the days when my family actually cared about seeing me. Everyone lives like, an hour and a half away from Bakersfield, but they can't ever make the drive. :/ They have events that would put them in the same area as me now, and they all cancel. They don't like celebrating holidays together anymore, now that I'm older. It's just kind of like... "Hey! This is the only opportunity I'll have to see you for another year, I haven't seen you in a year already, you could at least pretend to give a damn?"

Probably going to kill myself if the KPAC event outside doesn't spontaneously combust. I don't think I can put up with another 3 hours of this without breaks. Who in hell thought that was a good idea? ~_~ At least JB called and talked to me for a bit. He also advises that I kill myself in this situation. That's how awful this music is. ~_~ Apparently he's not allowed to talk on the phone as much anymore until after 9:00, which kind of sucks. :/ It's kind of nice talkig to people occasionally, and he's really the only person who bothers to call me just to talk.
