Well blargh. :/
Grandmother's not going to Sacramento with us anymore, because of some medical stuff with her arm, which will hopefully turn out okay. :/
And Uncle Earl's apparently not going either, since apparently Gonzalo ran off to Mexico to teach boxing. What the fuck. :/ I don't see why that matters, when it's just one day. I dunno, I'm more pissed that he's apparently planning on not hiring anyone else for 3 months in case he comes back. What the fuck. You don't just leave a job in the middle of the night without any warning to run off and teach in Mexico and expect to come back and have it waiting for you. He made a (stupid) decision and now he should have to live with it. It's not our problem that he insists on being ridiculous. I'm kind of sick his bullshit anyway. We even gave him the stupid raise that put the farm in debt because it was way more than he deserved for not doing anything. Or, well, Earl gave him the raise without consulting anyone else, because apparently he's horribly irreplaceable. Nevermind the billions of other applicants the last time we had to hire someone. ~_~;
I dunno. I've never liked him much. He seems to think he's terribly special, and that it's horribly difficult to find someone willing to get paid to live in a house and occasionally turn the hose on to water some trees. :/ I wanted to get rid of him the second he started threatening to leave if we didn't give him twice the amount we were already giving him. And a lot of good that did, seeing as how he left without warning anyway. Just... not good business.
Just... yeah. Kind of depressing. I haven't seen him in a year, so I'm not terribly happy about being brushed off in the hopes that someone I hate anyway is going to come back. :/
You'd think I'd be used to that by now, coming from him.
