Its been quite an easy day today. But hubby has been home with an upset stomach, and lack of sleep from a car alarm which went off at intervals all night! I was fortunate that my earplugs (which I offered to share with him) are pretty good and so I slept well after the first alarm (around 1.45 am).

He seems better this afternoon but I bought him some lucozade and I've baked potatoes for dinner (with real butter) so I hope he'll feel better soon too. It always throws me when he is ill - it happens so seldom it makes me realise just how much i always expect him to be there. Maybe I've been taking him a little for granted.

Time to take stock!

Meanwhile, I've finally had my tax rebate! So, after paying off the bank for all the bounced direct debits from being taxed double for five months. Hubby's chair has been broken for months but now we can afford to replace it! I decided we may have enough for two new computer chairs! Hurrah - we can sit in comfort once more. I am going for the cream leather faced office chairs from Argos, since they have wooden arms and will most likely fit well into our dining room/office well after we have remodelled it.

Had a good Sunday, relaxing and reading. I am reading 'One Last Time' by John Edward and working out how I really feel about it all. I think I am just unhappy with a notion of God that I picked up when I was quite small. I decided back then that I had a strong dislike of organised religion. I'm not sure what it was based on though (apart from hating nuns, which was obvious!)

Been eating loads of fruit and I'm suddnely feeling much more awake and energised. I had forgotten how easy it was to do this - tempted to shop for fresh fruit & veg every night now! And I had a load of teas sent from www.kameliabudd.com - found this outlet (from Barnstaple, Devon) at a Food & Drink Exhibition last year. So now I have wonderful Lemon Verbena to help calm me and Green Tea with peach, which smells heavenly! I also bought some more Orange Mocha Coffee, for when I just gotta have some. Oh well, best shift off to make some dinner now - pork ribs with baked potatoes and watercress, yum!

Sending love and hugs to all, especially huggybear, who's birthday is today!

time for tea!, beliefs, books!, food
