summer plans...
okay kids. it is getting to be that time where we start discussing the annual cedar point trip. and i mean ACTUALLY DISCUSSING IT! not bringing it up and then forgetting about it until it gets here. i want a plan damnit!
okay so first things first. i am planning a trip to cedar point. anyone can go who wants to go...or at least anyone in our circle of friends or i guess they could be someone who someone from the circle of friends bring??? i dunno. i learned last year that not inviting everyone is stupid and mean (i would like to apologize yet AGAIN for that faux paus but now we are officially moving on)
so the free tickets are def. not guranteed this year. dad is going to start trying to get a hold of the pepsi who usually gets them, but for now lets plan like we have to buy tickets so everyone can save enough money. general admission looks to be $40 dollars this year. it may sound like a lot, but to whoever has not been, trust me it is completely worth it!
right now i am planning on waiting until school starts back up again just because it is a much nicer trip. i have been in the summer and in the early fall and early fall is much better. there arent as many people which mean that you stand in 15 minute long lines instead of 2-3 hour long lines and it isnt as hot and the hotel isnt as full etc etc. trust me it is just a better time. now if like NO ONE can go once school has started back up than we might have to think of something else, but like early to mid-september is my vote.
okay now the more people who come, the more cars we are going to need. there is always a problem with the whole care thing. i think the avg time to get to sandusky ohio is like 8 hours or something and we dont all want to be squashed in malories little honda civic or something like that. i am gonna puch to drive my car again, but i dont TECHNICALLY OWN it so there might be issues, but i doubt it. anyways...more people=more cars.
we will probably be staying at the comfort inn that is like 10 minutes away from cedar point because we know its nice and reasonably priced and they have a shuttle to and from the park so we dont have to pay the $10 parking. not sure on the rates of the room but i know it wasnt too expensive. depends on how many people go as to how many rooms we get, i just know that i am not sleeping on the damn floor ever again...i am just saying it now.
oh and i was just going to say that we will probably be leaving on a friday during the afternoon ish time and driving to sandusky, staying the night at the hotel and getting up early to go to the park. then we will be oh so tired at the end of the day, so we will come back to the hotel and crash again for the night. get up and check out on sunday morning and drive back home.
okay so costs to think of...
*you have the gas money to get there...but the more people who go the less that will be
*hotel
*admission to the park
*FOOD MONEY! food in the park is expensive, but not usually that bad on the way there or home. so plan that xtra money for funnel cakes, dippin dots, elephant ears, pretzels and pizzas...oh and johny rockets! i think a lot of that stuff was bought before.
*(am i forgetting anything kids?)
SO SPREAD THE WORD!! if you read this tell the people who you dont think will. and MESSAGE ME BACK! i want to get this ball rolling and start getting an idea of how many will be coming. and i am sure you want to start putting moneys back to spend. i just have to say that the park is AMAZING and unlike anything you have experienced before (unless you have already been there) and it would be fantabulous if we could all go. it would end the summer with a big bang before we all got really involved in school.
okay so when i first starting thinking about the trip i was kinda worried about tension with everyone and blah blah blah, but lets face it kids we are all practically adults here (L!O!L!) and we can make this work. if there are a lot of us and people start to disagree then some can go this way and some can go that way. we dont have to be around eachother the whole time we are there! or ya know we can if we feel like it...i just want us to have fun...
