I came home to pressies! YAAAY! I got in both my bead orders I placed. One for all those seed beads in the last post. The sequins I needed for the flower shapes were hard to find, and these are not exact, but are the only dual-drilled sequins of this shape I could find at all. They are gold on one side and silver on the other. I am going to attempt to shave down the sequins to the right shape, but if it doesn't work, no one will know they're not perfect except me and anyone who's studied this particular costume this close. I am going to paint them with glass paint (I think) which should be translucent so I still have the silver shining through.
Aaaaand since I had to place a minimum order total to get these sequins, I picked up a few other pretty things:
The first is a vintage cameo set into a box clasp. Not sure if I'll use this on jewelry or on a closure for something steampunk. She has a little smudge on her cheek I have to figure out how to clean or paint over.
The second watch face is destined for something of steam punk design, but I haven't decided whether or not to do an actual watchband, make a choker, or set it into a hairpiece.
The third pic has two vintage swarovski snowflake pendants I'll make earrings out of, and the last is a neat leaf toggle clasp.
