Thursday Thoughts

Back at work at 7am. Not too bad. I am actually proud of myself for going through with it (waking up early, leaving the house when it's still dark out). There is a very peaceful calm to this routine in the morning. This morning droplets of rain were making the black streets glisten. The traffic lights glowed against the midnight blue of the sky that had no sign of the sun yet. My shoe was a little slippery on the gas peddle because I had stepped in a few puddles on the way to my car. Mia put the blanket over her legs in the car and we drove to school talking about how she had slept through the night in her own bed. She got up at 520am to come to bed with me, but it's progress. I got to work at 715am, made coffee and started on some assignments. I just finished creating a few Program Management forms for an SOP we are devising. My coffee has gotten cold during my focus on getting this done and now I have to get up and make a fresh cup...steaming and strong.

Last night I watched Chaos Theory. Finally a movie from Blockbuster that was actually good. It was very unpredictable and touching. It is weird but ever since I've been getting up earlier, I am not as tired at night. I can stay up later now. It doesnt seem to make sense but I have definitely noticed a difference in my energy level. Tonight I babysit for an hour and help Mia with her project that is due tomorrow. This 4-day week has flown by. I can't believe it will already be Friday. I invited Nickie over for dinner on Saturday night. Not sure what to make. I asked her if there is anything she can't or won't eat and she said mango and pork. I'm thinking of making a seafood pasta dish, a salad, some homemade garlic bread, and a bottle of red wine- probably Chianti. Then on Sunday I am taking Mia to the zoo, where they are having a birthday party for an orangutan who is turning 3. How cute! I told Mia last night about it, and she is excited. She said I'm the best mommy in the whole world. LOL

K, off to make my coffee.
