Now I feel like nothing more than some meddling busy-body... I'm like that annoying neigbor on Bewitched... I just gotta know what the Hell is going on.
About an hour ago, ICS confided in me that something was going on with her son. Now her son, J, has had the world handed to him on a silver platter his entire life. In th elast year, however, he has hooked up with someone that ICS and GLS don't necessarily approve of. In that time, he has squandered the money he had saved up on his own, as well as spent a lot of his parents' money unbenownst to them until after the fact ( a great story, but one for another time).
Anyway, it seems that even though ICS and GLS don't like J's girlfriend, they have come to accept that she is a part of his life and have done all that they could to include her. Well... she can be a pain. She calls up here all the time to yell and complain about this or that, and me, working here, can sometimes get caught in the crossfire.
Well... today... J's girlfriend called up here desperate to talk to GLS. ICS confided in me that something was major league up. When I asked why, she told me that while she was talking to GLS, J ripped the phone out of the wall to end their call. All tries by GLS to get back in touch with the girlfriend have gone unanswered... and J is not picking up his cell phone.
So... cut to 30 minutes ago when the girlfriend calls back up here. GLS gets on the phone, talks to her for less than a minute, and then suddenly runs out to his car and zooms out of the parking lot. ICS is frantic. Ten minutes later, GLS calls her and then she zooms out of here.
And now I'm stuck here wondering what is going on.
I know, I know. I should mind my own business....
