I Wanted a Challenge ...
... and it looks as if I might get one.
Some time ago I felt that I needed to do something new, learn something new. So I decided on learning Swedish. Today was the first lesson, and I felt very challenged, indeed.
"Jag heter Vera" (I'm called Vera) and "Jag gillar Sverige" (I like Sweden) is about all I remember right now.
I had forgotten how overwhelming it is at first to learn a new language. I'm sure I'll get used to it again, and it will be fun. But I have already realised that until the next lesson next week I'll have a lot of revising to do. And I need to get a hang on the basic pronunciation rules.
