Over the past few days I saw two films, Morning Glory (bland, I'm afraid) and Black Swan (excellent, in my opinion).
In both films an older actress appeared, Diane Keaton respectively Barbara Hershey, and I was quite appalled at their teeth. I can't tell whether they had crowns, veneers or even implants, but their upper teeth looked enormous and didn't fit their faces. I know, though, that their teeth looked quite different and much more natural when they were younger. Therefore, I wonder why anyone would decide to get teeth that are so unflattering?
The second question concerns sex scenes in films. Time and again I see people ask on some film boards whether it's okay to see a certain film with one's parents or whether there will be any awkward sex scenes, and I've just never understood what these people are actually asking about. I might be mistaken but I would assume that parents tend to know what sex is. They might even have done it or still do it. My parents and I have seen films together that included sex scenes, and there never was any awkward moment. Are we odd? I mean it's not as if we discussed our own sex lives. We're talking about fictional characters here. What's awkward about that?
