For those in the States, Downton Abbey is for sale from PBS, unedited UK episodes, for 19.99 (Season 1) and 29.99 (Season 2 + Christmas special). That's DVD. Blu-ray is 29.99 (Season 1) and 34.99 (Season 2). Taxes and total for both seasons are 54.23.
Amazon has Season 2 for 19.99 and Season 1 for 16.99 (though not labeled uncut UK version). So if you want it even cheaper...
I'll be picking this up. I know Netflix has season 1...but honestly, of the 3 episodes I've seen? I'm sold. Literally. This show is brilliant. I love the nuances and I want my own Grandmama. I'm so making an icon with her. Maggie Smith does more than hit it out of the park - she reinvents the damn thing.
And I can't buy a blasted thing until my credit union comes back online.
