bounty of affection
As y'all know, Snape the gerbil died the other day. I had the empty tank and was looking for something to fill it. I did some research, decided on a hamster, and got one at the store. The same that I got my boy gerbils from. He's been burrowing and sleeping since then, just kinda chilling out when I haven't been holding him. Without further ado, look behind the cut and meet my newest child.
Meet Jack, a golden Syrian hamster.
It took forever to name him, since I alternated between Justin, Aiden, Possum, and Jack. But Jack just kept poking me, so he got that name finally. Possum came from the fact that I was scared to death he had died about 5 minutes after I put him in the new cage, but once I opened the top, he was ready for love. He's so cute, and loves to be held even though he hadn't been given the chance much before. He's really tame and enjoyable. Seems to like his new cage, too. Right now he's hidden in it somewhere. Ah, and I'm considering him a baby since I got him from Petsmart and don't have his exact date of birth. No more than a couple months, I'm sure.
