What A Lovely Day...except not.

Okay, here's the copy/paste version of my day.

I was going to meet foxfire74 for lunch and my tire blew out. Like shredded blew out. My sugar was crashing at the time (my fault on that), and I pulled into a parking lot of a shopping center. A guy from Ace Hardware came out and actually changed my flat and donut, noticed the donut was flat, took it off and inflated it enough to get me somewhere close. I went a Big 10 Tires mech place around the corner and I was there from 12:30-2:30. I had to get something to eat so I had to walk in the rain, across the street, to get to Whole Foods and get a sandwich, then I went back. The good part? The Ace guy was so insanely nice and kind. And the Tire place went from 84 bucks for the tire to 26 with tax. I got a used tired for 25, 20 dollars less than normal and I didnt even have to pay in cash. I mean they were so kind to me. I looked like a drowned rat. Oh, I forgot to mention the raining, didn't I? It's been raining all day. My jeans were 3/4th soaked, my shirt (and undershirt) was mostly wet, and so was my jacket. My socks were soaked And I was in boots and the socks were soaked. There was a river of rainwater on the street. And it was on a side road, the ACE hardware store, of all places. The guy from ACE came out and said "I'm never seen that much smoke before." But I didn't know it was smoking until I stopped. It's hard to tell that with grey skies and rain.

I called my mom, the real one, to see if she'd pay me back for the tire (the deal is my mom and stepdad pay for the car upkeep and my godmom and dad pay for everything else - guess who gets ripped off there?). She acted like I had asked her to pay for my kid's education. Seriously, over a 84 dollar estimate (it changed, but I didn't tell her after the attitude she gave me). I called her after Godmom told me too. So she called Godmom after she got off the phone with me, complaining and asked "can you believe she called and asked?" to which my godmom replied "I told her too." Kinda shut my mom up for a bit there. They spend about 200 a year on my car upkeep. My godmom and dad pay 150 each every month for medicine and that doesn't count dr bills. Who the fuck is she to complain? She's getting the high end of that deal.

I'm tired, chilly, and miserable. Also? I never got to see Babycuda *sigh* I'm going to bed, it's just been that sucky of a day.

Oh! natacup82, could you send my betaed story to me, please?

me: mother, real life: car, weather: rainy day
