Ladies and gropers, let me tell you about my day. It started as a normal day. No, that's a lie. It started better than most days because I got to sleep in. The perks of having a class at 10am in the morning - no point going to work beforehand.
But it continued like any other normal day. I caught the Highbury bus from Courtenay Place after returning last night's DVD and sat patiently on that bus for half an hour as it meandered through the city, up The Terrace and eventually stopped outside Unistop, as those buses do.
Then I remembered. These classes, this religious studies thing likes class quizzes. Based on the tutorial readings. Fine and dandy, yes? We'd been warned in the first lecture, but I hadn't put two and two together. My tutorial is tomorrow. I've been doing the readings this afternoon.
Luckily, it was a small quiz. 4 questions. Multiple choice. I chose my answers at random. And yet, I defied probability and got them all wrong. Amusing, no? (I'm not worried, only the best 7 marks get counted).
And after the class, I thunked my way down the hill to work in my chunky heeled boots (not without stopping in on some of the sales first, of course). When I got to work, the server was down so I took it as a sign and heated up my lunch, ate it, and sorted my mail. The server was back up and lo' and behold - I had forgotten my password.
Well, no, to say I had forgotten isn't entirely true. I knew what it was meant to be. But the computer had other ideas. Soon enough I had tried too many combinations and I was locked out. Easy to solve, just call the IT guys upstairs.
Except they were both away today. Which, might I add, I would have known if I had been able to sign in with my password and check my email. Not much anyone else could do, so I went home early.
Today, I went to work for 2 hours. Got paid for it. And all I did was eat my lunch.
Jealous?
