I keep forgetting to update this thing....

Having said that, it's not really like I had anything to actually update with.  I still don't but no matter!  I will update anyway! :D

Christmas was good.  Went to my sister and brother-in-law's house for Christmas dinner with my Dad and afterwards we ended up playing on the wii - ten pin bowling, Deal or No Deal and the likes.  I've never really been tempted to own a wii, but I have to admit that it was good fun especially after (quite) a few drinks - I have photos of my Dad and James dancing to "I Get Around" by the Beach Boys that will probably end up on Facebook at some point.

I wasn't very hungover, which was good because I was working the next day, which was...shit.  We used to get Boxing Day and January 2nd off, until the powers that be decided that we would be opening on those days as well.  Well I'm not doing it again this year.  I've done it for the past two years, and I'll be working Christmas Eve and Hogmanay anyway, which is always pretty mental.  So I think that's fair enough.

Hogmanay and New Year were very quiet.  Dad and I had discussed going out to see the bells in, possibly even to see the fireballs in Stonehaven, but Dad had a cold at the time and we ended up staying in instead was was still nice, and we had nommy roast beef dinner.  So that was good.

Then I had my birthday, which was also very quiet.  Went out for a family lunch.

February was uneventful.  I have taken on another shift at work, which I've been meaning to do for a while.  The extra money will come in useful, because we're planning a holiday to Florida next year, which I really want to do.  So yes.  I'm saving for that.

Valentine's Day.  I bought my own underwear and perfume.  The end.

Which brings us to March, which is always a difficult month, because it's the anniversary of my Mum's death.  I've been thinking about her a lot recently.  I wish I could say that I was remembering the good times, but that wouldn't be true.  I've mostly been thinking about how she was when she was so ill.  When she looked like my Mum, but really  wasn't.  In fact when I think about it, she 'died' long before March 19th.

And that's all I have to say about that.

On a lighter note, I've bought two new scratching posts for the kitties!  One is more of a cat..tree type thingy.  It had two plinths for them to sit on and it did have a furry ball that rattled attched to it with some elastic, until one of them pulled it off, so now they just roll it round on the floor.  And the other one is a taller version of the scratching post they used to have, with a platform on top (=^;^=)

I'm going to see what else I've missed on LJ now.  And I have to go get something for the evening meal.  I should also do some ironing tonight.  I'm not keen on ironing, I find it really tedious.  My ipod usually comes in very handy around this time.

I think that's it.  I'll try not to leave it so long this time!
