I'm lying in bed, listening to Chris breathe. He just rolled over and is kissing my upper arm. The laptop is such a luxury. It feels decadent and has been so easy to get used to.

When I witness others kiss, my favorite is when the kisser holds the kissee's face with both hands splayed out, the pinkies just beneath the jawline and the thumbs just above the ears (or wherever they may fall upon the head in question), snugly gripping the head of their intended. There is so much gentleness and power contained in that embrace. It's a tender mix of dominance and love. It almost always makes me catch my breath.

Speaking of kissing, Pushing Daisies has been a real disappointment for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode and each one since has left me more and more cold. Not because of the acting or the quality of the show (the latter is reallly quite groovy), mind you. Why? Because of one of the major storylines. Not being able to touch the one you love? Ever? Unless you both are wrapped in body condoms? Oh, hell no! This, for me, is on the same page as giving up your immortality in order to be with the mortal with whom you happened to fall in love. If you are going to live forever, you'll meet another person eventually. Live your life with the mortal until they pass then you carry on. Yes, I know. Not exactly a romantic, am I?

We get an extra hour today. Or did we all ready have it at 2am? Do bars stay open an extra hour on the Saturday of Fall Daylight Savings? I mean, I guess so, right? What will YOU do with your extra hour? Sleep? Knit? Play with a child? Study for a test? Make love? Daydream? Watch an episode of a favorite drama? Nap? Cuddle on the couch? Go for a walk? Stare at the stars? Cheer on a seasonally appropriate sports team? Relax with family? It's your hour, you name it.

Next up? A good cuppa.
