It can be done to just be friends. It's in no way to be an easy task. And hey, any relationship takes work, on boh sides. And I agree, it isn't fair, it just is as it is.

I hope so. But sometimes it simply hurts too much to remain friends. I'm hoping and working towards being able to maintain our friendship.

Time heals wounds of the heart. I think also, that lots of things hurt. Does it hurt too much to give birth? Does it hurt too much to get a tattoo? These things still get done even thou they hurt. It's what you're willing to endure. As well, it's totally ok to say that this hurts emotionally. I'm sure it's not easy on the other side of this as well. I believe in both of you and I think you can do it.
