Meme answers for the curious (boring crap from my brain)

Ay-yah you guys had some good questions, and surprisingly nothing about my obsession with ficsmut!

First, Lovelylytton

1) Tell me about the most embarrassing moment of your life. I want all the details.

Oh Science, where do I start? I'll leave out the stuff that I'm ashamed of and things that were humiliating, and just stick with embarrassing. There is also a common theme; see if you can find it.

-My best friend at the time had a Black and White birthday party on a yacht. I got this amazing black strapless dress from White House Black Market, looked really, really hot...and then drank too much and got seasick and puked for four solid hours off the side. Fuck yachts.
-Did shrooms in high school and had to be escorted around a Santana concert by my hand like a baby while eating an entire box of popsicles.
-My senior prom date did The Worm in the middle of the dance floor.
-Got horrifyingly drunk in college and passed out on a golf course.
-Got horrifyingly drunk in college and cut the waistband off of a pair of $100 jeans because I wanted to make them "Low riders". Wore the tattered jeans out to a party with no shame. They fell off.
-Mixed sedatives and alcohol by accident (don't do this kids!) and passed out in a club.

2) Why do you like Kunzite that much?

I'm a sucker for guys in charge. Power is definitely an attractor for me, and in my experience, the guy wearing the stars or the bars or the crown is usually just a figurehead, and it's the next in command that really steers the ship, and usually so well that it's practically invisible (see: Dick Freaking Cheney). What was that quote from Futurama? "When you're doing it right, people aren't sure you're doing anything at all." (I think.)

3) Tell me about your favourite (and knowing you probably only) decoration item in your flat. Candle, picture frame, weird phallus shaped piece of art?

I consider my current apartment just a temporary (6 years and counting) living situation until I can buy my own place, so I don't really have a lot of deco yet. Uh, I think I like my hippie-dippie soy candles and my Hello Kitty shower curtain.

4) What's the first thing you do in the morning?

Pee.

5) Tell me the last thing that made you happy.

VOBoy's Mom knows that I got food poisoning from laulau, so even though they were having laulau for dinner, she made me sausage so I didn't have to force myself to eat it. She's so nice :D

Also the Patriots crumbling like a house of cards and losing to the Colts with 4 minutes to go in the fourth quarter.

OH, and that taco I will have on Wednesday. Thinking ahead.

charliechaplin2 stumped me with these:

1. What food/drink could you not live without?

Coffee. I'm an addict. Two cups a day or I'm VOBitch. And tacos. My record so far is nine, and that's only because Old El Paso shells are so small.

2. What's your favourite thing to do (excluding writing)?

Lay on the beach until my skin is warm, and then jump in the ocean. Swim around, come back to shore, sip some iced coffee, and jump back in. Repeat until I have to go home, or it's time to have tacos.

Have coffee with my mom, since I only see her about once a year.

Smell VOBoy since he smells good.

3. What is your favourite childhood memory?

Early childhood: Finding a parrotfish in a tide pool, and helping him out. Knowing what I know now, I should have speared the fucker and grilled him with garlic and mayo.

When I was 12, my uncle and now-deceased auntie took me to the Royal Hawaiian Hotel after a family dinner, and we sat out on the deck and I got to order a virgin daiquiri. It was the first time I officially got to stay out after hours. I love it that it was just me and not my sister, and that I was Out at Night. We walked around Waikiki and my uncle bought pearl earrings for me off of some ghetto pearl stand run by a guy with prison tats. We saw prostitutes getting arrested. When I can home, it was after 2 AM and I felt like Paris Hilton coming home from the Viper Room. That memory is one that I like to go back and remember, even though it hurts a lot because I miss my Aunt.

4. What is the worst thing you've ever done to another human being?

I dumped a guy because his dick was two inches when hard.

5. Which of your characters can you relate the least to?

Probably Serena...I have a feeling that the more I write her, the more she's going to stray from canon and start to have Moments of Mean. No one is that nice all the time.

And now for: Elvisvf101

1.) What's the biggest misconception mainlanders have about Hawaii?

This pretty much sums it up: Aloha Hard!

Also there seems to be a huge clot of 18-23 year olds who move here thinking that it's going to be just like Chicago or Austin or wherever they're from except with beaches and then are disgusted and frightened by all the brown/yellow people.

2.) If you could pick a different pair of ethnicities/cultural backgrounds to come from, what 2 would you pick and why?

I'd want to be half Hawaiian/half-Jamaican and see if I'm immune to weed.

3.) What's one male obsession that totally doesn't make sense to you?

Megan Fox. I know she's pretty, and my brain tells me she's sexy, but she just seems like such a jumble of extreme body parts that I have no sexual biological reaction to her whatsoever. Amanda Seyfried or Rachel McAdams I would fuck in a heartbeat. Megan Fox could be a Rhodes Scholar who pisses the cure for AIDs and I'd still think of her as a Realdoll.

4.) Best and worst thing about your job?

Best: humongous amounts of downtime and job security. Worst: working with retired military (they get hiring preference) and finding out that they are the laziest, most ignorant fucks I have ever had the displeasure of sharing cube space with.

5.) I've heard many varied answers to this question, so I'm not ignorant, but always curious. What is it with girls and shoes?

American culture has ingrained high heels as a feminine ideal into many a little girl's head; one of the first things you do when you play dress up is put on Mommy's high heels.

That being said:
-They push out your ass and make your legs look longer, thus making you more attractive to sexual partners.
-Regardless of fluctuation in waist size, bra size, ass size, etc., your pretty shoes will pretty much always fit and look nice.
-Girls dress for other girls, not guys. A really awesome pair of shoes gets the attention of your female friends and nets you coveted femme-proval.
-Because they can be works of art.

li_yingfa hit me with:

1. Your dialogue and situations are very realistic for the most part. Where do you draw your inspiration from?

Whenever I'm out with people, if I meet an interesting character, I kind of imprint their personalities into my brain and give my characters those traits. The same with funny situations, or just human behavior in general. Also a lot of lines I can attribute directly to my friends or friends-in-law.

2. You've also been writing for a while. When and how did you pop your fic cherry ;)? (aka. When did you start writing and why?)

Eep, well, I started writing the now-mortally-embarrassing and horribly dated As We Were back when I truly discovered fanfic on the Internets, way back when I was just graduating high school and entering college. I read a lot of fic that was either SilMil, fantasy-based ARs, or canon fics taking place in Tokyo that were just superbly out there. I had the idea about playing around with the SM characters as if they were real people, who got dumped into a magical situation, and since I was an American in college, that's what happened.

3. I'm going to assume the majority of fic writers are also readers, so, what is your favourite book and why?

My favorite book of all time is A Clockwork Orange, because I like how the author created another reality to further explore how much of human behavior is biology and how much is choice, and what happens to an individual when the "choice" part is taken away. I really like books by Christopher Moore, especially Lamb, and I try to emulate his style of celebrating irreverence but never downplaying real emotion. Skip Fluke though; it sucks.

4. If you had to describe yourself in a six-word sentence, what would it read?

Bit messy but still runs fine.

5. Are you working on anything right now that's being kept a secret? Would you be willing to share if you were?

One day I will reveal the huge SilMil epic I've been planning. There are guns. And drugs. And it lasts for a decade. Eventually!
