Baltimoron Representin'

This section of Silver Dragon's (she is the creator of Mission Trance, a fabulous online shounen-ai manga I've been reading for ages) Otakon report amused me:

"What happens to life in Baltimore after 8pm?:
There is virtually NO ONE on the streets after 7 or 8pm NO ONE, kinda creepy! haha guess this is really new for me..coming from the raver city (Toronto) at night is when people start coming out. But it was really errie to be walking around, it really looks like someone could murder you"

Well of course someone could murder ya, happens lots here but Baltimore is completely not a place where people just disappear at night. I guess you have to be in the right section to see that, like Fells Point. I love Fells Point, cobblestone streets, funky little thrift stores that will sell you things without the tax and pocket the cash, the bay, one of the cool old tented markets that have been there since Washington was in office which sell fabulous imported cheese and five million packed bars. Now if you want to see a dead city try Easton or most of the Eastern shore save Ocean City after about six thirty. Even the cops aren't out anymore. Of course Bmore parties, how else would we get so much venereal disease baybee?

Damn that rant gave me a craving for Maggie Moo's ice cream for some reason, I haven't had a scoop of thier strawberry cheesecake in far too long. Mmmm
