WGT: beginning

Jun 09, 2009 00:21

So, as many of you know, I went to WGT this year. Frankly speaking, it was my third attempt to go to this festival in Leipzig, and happily this attempt was a success.

I arrived in Leipzig at 7 pm Thursday, and immediately felt underdressed. Yes, even the train station was full of quite posh and incredibly dressed goffs. Crazy. So, I checked in to my hotel, and made an attempt to get my wgt ribbon, but failed, as the queue was too big. So well, I had a nice german dinner and went to my hotel.

Q for ze ribbonz

The festival for me started on Friday. 12 pm i was dressed up, with a lovely black festival ribbon on my hand, walking along the goff vanity fair in front of Agra. And of course I couldn't resist the temptation of diving into the mess of world's biggest goth marked. There I ran into sad, underdressed and obviously hungover Phil. The guy had been partying too hard on Thursday night:)

Then I went to Werk II to see Leandra and probably to catch up with idollissimo.

Leandra on stage

I must admit, Leandra live is absolutely amazing. I had heard only a couple of songs before that gig, ut now will definitely get myself a full album

After Leandra I stayed for a couple of songs of Staubkind. I like this act in record, but live they're a bit boring. So I decided to start moving in the direction of Agra. There I got meself a glass of some strawberry alcohol and was strolling around, looking at weird goffs. Got photographed a number of times in the meanwhile.
Then it was the time for Combichrist. Cannot say that I'm a big fan, but music is oonzy, what else do yoy want to groove on Fri night? One of the funny impressions from this gig was a drunk deathrocker, who was doing an oldskooly dance to Combichrist.

The rest of the evening I spent club surfing with Phil and Pam. Drinking cheep beer in Moritzbastei, then dropping into Darkflower, where it was a Dominion night obviously(seriously, all the Dominion dancefloor fillers were played).

I came back to my hotel at about 3am, tired, drunk, but happy.
