[We open to the sound of V laughing. It's a wild sort of laugh, louder than one might expect from him...he sounds a little deranged.]
I saw the BTN's news tonight! Ah, I think they've forgotten me sometimes, but then a glimmer of something always appears to remind me they still care.
They've decided I started St. Mary's! ...no, no, I take that back, they have decided "the terrorist organization named V" was responsible.
I've been promoted it seems! I am no longer "the terrorist named V", I am an organization now! An organization of two people, by their count, but who cares about such a silly thing as numbers?
[A small, shaky laugh]
But apparently, two people is enough to create an entire disease, is it not? The most deadly to strike since the Spanish flu! Apparently we are quite the medical geniuses, are we not, to formulate a plague in an area comparable to a basement.
Oh, isn't it lovely how the facts change so easily? The virus always seems to be the work of the people Sutler hates. What a curious little disease!
