[Ken's sitting on the playground after school, on one of those merry-go-rounds that got banned from schools because of how dangerous they were.  It's spinning, slowly.  He looks vaguely emo, sitting there alone, but he's not.  He's thinking.  Long and hard, while trying to do his homework and study English.

He's also wearing shorts, despite the cold

What're you gonna do when we go home?

[a pause as he thinks, before he answers with a laugh]

Eat a giant bowl of ramen, that's what.

I meant... now you graduated, right? Where are you going to go?

[rubs his knuckles as he think]

I think I'm going to join the police force.

But you're gonna stay in Iwatodai, right?

For now, yeah.
