Evey watched Glinda's bubble float away and then turned to Marcus, who really did look very nice in his suit. She looked down at her dress and strappy white heels that made her three inches taller, then at the basket of objects at Marcus' feet. Apparently Glinda had ideas about certain things, which didn't surprise Evey in the least. Glinda was the meddling type, and relationships were a favorite object of meddlers.
"I'm really not sure whether I like her or not," she admitted with a slight laugh. "At least I can move again. Thank you for your intervention. I'm afraid I may have looked like a merangue forever if you hadn't arrived when you did."
Feeling her hair on her shoulders after all this time of not having any was very odd. She kept having the urge to reach up and brush an insect away.
