"The Days of the Phoenix" - AFI

I remember when I was told of story of crushed velvet,
candle wax, and dried up flowers
The figure on the bed all dressed up in roses, calling
Beckoning to sleep,
Offering a dream

Words were as mystical as purring animals
The circle of rage
The ghosts on the stage appeared
The time was so tangible, I'll never let it go
Ghost stories handed down, reached secret tunnels below
No one could see me

I fell into yesterday
Our dreams seemed not far away
I want to, I want to, I want to stay
I fell into fantasy

The girl on the wall always waited for me,
And she was always smiling
The teenage death boys
The teenage death girls
And everyone was dancing
Nothing could touch us then
No one could change us then
Everyone was dancing
Nothing could hurt us then
No one could see us then
Everyone was dancing
Everyone was dancing

No one could see me

Our dreams seemed not far away
I fell into fantasy...

•This or That•

Hero or villain?: I cannot say. Who exactly determines "good" and "evil"? One's enemy will always be seen as the villain.
Past or future?: The past. Everyone should be aware of the past in order to create a better future.
Water or fire?: Water.
Wisdom or knowledge?: Wisdom. You could be book smart, but if you don't have common sense.. well..
Reality or fiction?: Reality.
Simplicity or complexity?: Complexity.
Cautious or brave?: Cautious.

•Ideas are bullet-proof•

A paragraph on something political you feel strongly about:

I believe that assisted suicide should be legalized, but only enforced under certain circumstances. It is known, that a doctor or any other medical personel, is sworn to keep a patient alive at any cost. But what if this patient is terminally ill and is in a great deal of pain? Shouldn't the patient have the right to tell the doctor to cease all efforts? Of course, there should be a lot of paperwork involved, one cannot simply rely on another's words. If the patient has a history of psychological problems, then assisted suicide should never be considered. Now the argument against this deals with religion and morality.. but in reality, keeping someone alive with a machine, that's not necessarily natural, now is it? Also, this goes back to the basic idea of seperation of church and state. The government should not control the personal lives of the citizens, based upon what they believe is "right". Even if it is legalized, those who are against it.. why make a huge fuss? If you are in support of it, go ahead and take advantage of it, but otherwise... no one is forcing you to do it. I can go further with this... but, I don't think an entire essay is necessary for this application.

•V for Vendetta•

Favorite character: V. He represents everything that I am afraid to lose: my freedom of expression.
Least favorite character: Creevy. Ughh. I mean, Adam Sutler was bad... but if it wasn't for all of his croonies, he wouldn't have been appointed Chancellor... and so on and so forth.
If you were given a chance to look behind V's mask, would you?: In respect for V, I wouldn't.
Would you have joined V's revolution?: Of course!

One or two pictures of yourself please. If you have none, you can describe how you look:
