(no subject)
Headed out to my writing critique group Christmas party in an hour or so. We're going to have finger foods and play games and chat. Then next week is my birthday, so I've rearranged my schedule to be off Friday and have dinner with my cousin and sister (and I guess I should go pick up my nephew and drive him there too).
This year, I'm thinking of dong one of those little potted Xmas trees instead of breaking out all three boxes of ornaments for the big artificial tree. That way I don't have to rearrange any furniture or walk around the tree--and when winter is over I can put it on my porch in the corner so it will be decorative. Now if I can just find time to stop by Home Depot and pick one up ...
Working on a couple of crime stories this month: Sci-Fi Noir and Land of 10,000 Crimes (about either Minnesota or a state that touches it). I'm thinking of using my velyr PI Badi in both stories. He's got a noir voice and is always humorous, which I think crime stories need more of. Wish me luck I get in at least one anthology...
