Well I found out why I'm so damn nauseated and tossing my cookies ... got a call from my friendly Ozempic Diabetes Coach and she says you're SUPPOSED to start out using 0.25 mg dose for 2-4 weeks then increase to 0.5mg for 2-4 weeks and THEN use the 1mg dose I was given. Sheesh I'm surprised I've been able to partially control the nausea with my Zofran ...
Contacted my doctor about this. It seems he thought the pens were like the insulin ones where you can just dial any dose you need (even though his directions said "Inject 1mg every 7 days). Once I corrected this, he agreed to send in an Rx for the lower dose because I am NOT taking another 1mg dose and spending another week like this! Titration, titration, titration ...
