Man I did not sleep well last night ... nausea all night long and throwing up as soon as I got out of bed. This had better die down or I'm requesting a different medication entirely.
And I got 2 form rejections from Zombies Need Brains. I hate form rejections -- at least tell me what you didn't like about the piece. That would be the Xochipilli story (The Modern Deity's Guide to Surviving Humanity) and the velyr "When Worlds Collide" story. If I'd actually gotten some damn feedback I could tell what went wrong. I thought that Xochipilli piece was pretty damn funny. Well, they did say they received 1400 stories for a 20-story slot. Still ...
I still have a couple of stories out and working on several more, so I'm not going to totally lose hope. And I'll probably rework those two and see if I can find a magazine home for them. Have to start looking at fantasy mags though, since gods and djinn are technically not sci-fi.
