Just got back from my monthly massage. My masseuse and I agreed that it feels as if we can take a deep breath for the first time in four years. And we have the first woman vice-president in history!

Massage really does do wonders for my ankle. Nothing's going to heal all the scar tissue down there, but my masseuse knows exactly which are the sore spots and goes after them. Now my legs are all loosened up and feel great. If I can get another job that pays the mortgage and then some, I might increase to twice a month.

The IRS finally got around to writing me. I've called them three times about the money I owe from last year. Each time, they said it hadn't processed yet so they couldn't set up a payment plan for me. NOW they claim I'm behind on my payments and owe them $3000 more in interest. I don't have time to fool with them this afternoon, but tomorrow I'm going to have a very long talk with somebody over there and it will be corrected even if I have to pull H&R Block into this.

I'm on track with NaNoWriMo so far, and nearly finished with the story for "The Modern Deity's Guide to Surviving Humanity." After that, I'll get started on one of the four or five other anthologies I'm planning to submit to. Hopefully, I can sell something to someone...

And yes, I'm counting the words I post on my social media platforms. They're part of my overall author package, after all, and I need to post regularly. I do follow my own advice, and author branding is important. I need to pick up the slack on JD Ryan's social media, though. Poor fellow gets the short end of the stick between JES Hays and EJ Murray. I spend most of my free time working on those platforms. Just got my royalties check from JMS Books though, and that always makes me feel rather guilty about not writing more gay smut .

Today is a friend's birthday and we're celebrating at a local Italian joint. It's not my favorite, but it's not my decision so ... We were going to have a big wing-ding Saturday but a friend's horse died that afternoon and L is so tenderhearted it spoiled her party for her so we rescheduled. She's also hard to buy for because she already has pretty much everything she wants already. Gift certificate time ...

Tomorrow is my final(?) check-up with the surgeon. I'm going to get a prescription for new orthotics since the ones I'm using are several years old. I'm also going to ask him to write me a letter for work saying I cannot stand for 12 solid hours every day. I really wish I had a sit-down job but .... Going to check with the local recruiting firm later this week too, and see if they have any ideas about a new career for me (or if they have any "ins" with the pharmacy business).

Thanksgiving looms nigh. Going to drive the nephew over to the sister's house for the day. I'm bringing the turkey breast and rolls and she's fixing the veggies and potatoes. We'll pick some sort of sappy holiday movie to watch and talk the rest of the time. There's nowhere to go in Union even if we could go out, so we always just sit around all day. At least I have family for a holiday get-together of some sort.

Better get back to my short story.

i live in my own little world, gravity is a hard habit to shake off, velyr - wtf?, if you don't know the words ... hum, it is what it is, the road goes ever on and on, but wait ... there's more!, like and equal are not the same thing, how can you stop writing?, crivens!
