Octocon was pretty fun. Turned out to be more of a fan con than a writer one, but I enjoyed the panel discussions and listening to the Irish accents all day. I might try to plan a trip for real someday if I win the lottery!

Finished another Victorian sob story romance plot. Waiting to see if the publisher likes my idea or if I need to rewrite parts of it. Usually, I'm not mean enough to the poor girls and have to add more trauma to their pitiful lives!

Still finishing up the mask story. For some reason, it's going really slowly, even though I have the basic plot in my head ... who knows what's going on in the old subconscious ...?

Two more days until Women Writing the West. Have my Zoom links all ready to go. Practically memorized the schedule. Cowboy hat is ... hmmm. I think it's on the wardrobe. Must check for cowboy hat before Zoom meetings.

I got my authorial copies of Under Western Stars, our anthology. I've got some extras to hand out to friends, too. Remember the Kindle version is still free if you have Kindle Unlimited -- but it's worth the price if you don't. Some great stories in there!

Antibiotics are done and Diflucan taken for the after-effects. I do feel much less sleepy so the infection must have been making me lethargic. It's nice not to fall asleep while trying to write ...

I'm planning on doing NaNoWriMo in November, so wish me luck!

And finally, airplane tickets secured. First-class was only $150 more expensive than coach, believe it or not! Around $500 round trip, which I consider worth the price for the legroom and comfort.

gravity is a hard habit to shake off, the clocks were striking thirteen, velyr - wtf?, if you don't know the words ... hum, don't get between me and my coffee, but wait ... there's more!, like and equal are not the same thing, my karma ran over your dogma, crivens!, how can you stop writing?, travel broadens your mind, na-no-wri-mo
