Flu shot gotten; all errands run except for topping up the gas tank (which I'll do before breakfast as there is a QT station right beside the diner); Patrick's birthday present purchased -- have to wrap that tonight; house swept and mopped and sheets washed for Bar's arrival tonight. We are currently killing 2-3 hours in the airport. Last time she got here at rush hour we spent over an hour parking on the interstate and she had to wait for us so this year we came super early. Good thing, too, coz they are doing construction and all the roads are messed up and I nearly got lost trying to find the parking garage and they have the normal garage across from the terminal closed so we had to use Garage B which is 2 blocks away from the terminal at least ... whew.

Still trying to think of ideas for a good mask story -- "When the mask comes off, can you handle what's underneath?" I'm thinking it should be velyr but I have to think of a good plot for it. I'm also doing a story about an Azetc god and how he fits into modern 21st Century life. In case you're wondering, no, his sacrifices are corn and booze instead of blood and gore -- I couldn't write about one of those gods. He's the god of butterflies, hallucinogens, and gay prostitutes!

Leaving in the morning around 10:30 or 11 -- we can't check into the house until 3 or 4pm so there's no need to rush. Then it's a solid week of beach time! Hope it doesn't rain...

Oh, and my query letter was chosen to be read and evaluated by an agent on Jericho Writers "Slushpile" Tuesday. He's not going to accept anyone -- just evaluate either their letter or their first page. It's great to be chosen though - looking forward to seeing how my letter stands up.

best friends are part of your soul, that'll do!, it is what it is, i must go down to the sea again, velyr - wtf?, how can you stop writing?
