Just had a great webinar over at the Summer Festival of Writing all about Multiple Streams of Income as a Writer. It was by Joanna Penn who you may know as The Creative Penn from Facebook and her podcasts.

In short, her advice is to market yourself in multiple ways -- not only hardback/paperback/Kindle but audiobooks and large print as well; adding nonfiction works to your fiction; foreign rights; speaking and teaching opportunities (even if it's just an expenses-paid travel opportunity); podcasts and webinars; Patreon for short stories/novellas; publishing collectible hardcover editions for libraries and gifts; thinking globally instead of locally; email lists; etc.

I'm nearly done with my re-read of the novel. I hope I've caught all the little "tells" and changed them to "shows." If not -- well, an editor can do that I suppose. I need to get started on Book 2 so I'll have something in the works if an agent contacts me ... I might write up a short story first and think about self-publishing or Patreon ...

don't get between me and my coffee, open channel d, like and equal are not the same thing, velyr - wtf?, how can you stop writing?
