Chapter 1 (revised) went over well with the critique group, who says they're much less confused. Not all of them read sci-fi but even those say they like the storyline so that's grand.
I also took another Zoom class with a Greenville-based writer's group. This was on Editing Yourself. We have homework! We're to write a letter to an 11-year-old child without using the personal pronouns "I" or "me." Then we trade letters with our "lab partners" and edit them. We'll meet up again Thursday evening to discuss our assignments.
Working on Chapter 34 and probably one of the final chapters. Let's see if I can get this wrapped up satisfactorily while still leaving a bit of a cliffhanger
