More RL Crap ...
Been applying for jobs - I found several at the local hospital pharmacy (the one that's more like a retail job than actually preparing medications for hospital in-patients) and the local Costco pharmacy. Today I'm going to phone the various pharmacies, find out who's in charge of hiring, and send them a nice snail-mail note letting them know I'm interested in the job. Wonder if I should try to get their email address instead though ...
It'd be nice if I felt like writing but so far I'm just sitting around the house doing odd chores and watching TV. I sold part of my stocks from the old job and will be using that to pay the mortgage while I search for a new position. The rest of the stocks and the 401-K I'm going to "roll over" into an IRA once I get settled into a new job and can think properly again.
At least my best friend B is going to be in town in a few weeks, and we'll have a nice visit that should cheer me up. He's recently taken early retirement from his job, so maybe he can give me some suggestions on getting my creative side in gear.
