Sold the first Kye and the Kid story -- it's an online publisher. I'll post a link once we finalize everything and get it posted. I'm at the "we're assigning you an editor" stage right now, but they seem to move fairly quickly (got a reply in just a couple of days -- don't know if that means they're just really fast readers or if they just really liked the story excerpt and synopsis I sent!) And they're interested in the other short stories as well, which is good if I like the way they handle this one.
The one I sent in was the first story, the one of how they met and plotted their careers as bank and train robbers. I've also redone a couple of the ASJ fanfiction stories into Kye and the Kid, and done a couple of totally new stories based on Jess' dime novels. I'm psyched about finally discovering a magazine for them -- even if most magazines nowadays seem to be online. I do like the solidity of seeing my stories in print and holding them in my hot little hands. I have a shelf in the office that's just for magazines and books I've been published in.
kye and the kid,
books broaden your mind,
original fiction,
how can you stop writing?
