In the update news, my sister did quite well last night after I had to go back to work. They gave her a back brace, which she said really helped support the area and help her get out of bed and walk a bit. The doctor has even said he might discharge her today if all goes well, so she can get back to her own place. Her best friend lives only a few houses away, so she'll have good care once she gets home. I've got to work today, too, so I can't drive her home, but we'll find one of the family or friends who can do it.
