true blue...
I just finished sorting all of my clothes into "Take" and "Leave" piles. While I was at it, I decided to give in to my somewhat obsessive-compulsive side and categorize my "Take" pile of shirts, blouses, and sweaters by color (excluding tanks and camisoles, which would've skewed the count more toward white.) Here are the oh-so-very-fascinating results in terms of percentage of the total:
Blue: 27.4%
White: 17.7%
Pink: 12.9%
Purple: 9.6%
Gray: 8.1%
Black: 6.5%
Brown: 4.8%
Red: 4.8%
Yellow or Tan: 4.8%
Green: 3.2%
Orange: 0%
Obviously, blue totally dominates (see, this is why I beg you to keep me away from blue stuff when we go shopping together!) Blue, white, and pink combined account for 58% of my total "Take" wardrobe. Orange is just hideous on me, which accounts for the total dearth of it here. This is my main motivation for avoiding prison, BTW... the orange overload just might kill me! I think green is a bit underrepresented, since I'm not nearly as opposed to it as I am to orange. I'll have to work to remedy that.
