I was going to go out tonight. I even switched to the late shift so that I would not have to go in too early.
However I really did not want to deal with the same old bullshit. Everyone from work gets together and gets pissed in the pub...and goes to the club.
I want to meet new people...not the same old shit
I decided to practice some fiscal sanity this time, especially since the average night out costs me about 70 Euro if I really want to get pissed.
I went out to the pub with Chris the German. I have only known him for about 6 weeks but I definitely think he is the best friend that I've made over here. He is a little bit older than me but I admire him because he gave up everything in germany and just left for Ireland one day. It seems to have worked out really well for him and I hope to have the same ability if/when the time comes. He says that he is coming to visit in July or August and I truly believe him. Not like other people that say they are but you never see them.
