It's like my Harry Potter.... Except it was only 6 years in the making, a fraction of the word-count and hasn't netted me a penny. I'm pretty sure most of the literate world hasn't read it either. Mind you, it does have the same disparity of style between the first and last installments ( Read more... )

That was a really great read. I love the season three Autobots, and this story was a very interesting and compelling take on their various relationships to each other. The idea of Springer starting out as Arcee's mentor is something that I don't think would have occured to me, but it works really well here.

The only real problem I had was with Shockwave at the end, but that's based on my own interpretation of then character. Cartoon Shockwave, in my mind, is the single most loyal and personally devoted of Megatron's followers, and sees his leader as basically infallible. So the interplay between them seems off to me, but, again, that's owed to my own interpretation of the character which I'm sure is not universally shared.

As I said, this was a great read, as your fics usually are.

Yeah, my Shockwave found he resented Megatron after the guy returned from the dead. I just can't imagine that anybody can basically rule a planet for 4 million years and then not resent being micromanaged by a superior again. There isn't much evidence of this in the cartoon, I'll admit, but I can't get in the headspace of a loyal Shockwave. Unfortunately, I've never found a good role for Shockwave in this series, and he really did need one to explain his point of view.

Glad you liked it though!
