So, one of the questions on LJ's writer's block thingie was are you ready for a zombie apocalypse. My answer? Hell yeah I am! I have been thinking about that for many years, and I have a plan that is ready to go at a moments notice. It is also fairly flexible so that I can adjust to whatever might happen. My plan involves guns (I need to target practice more, but slow moving zombies = easy headshots), we will need a good economical vehicle so we won't need to stop for gas a lot, and lots of pre-packaged food. Seriously, this is do-able. Also I am marrying a zombie fan and he's been thinking of the same thing so not only do we have a shot at living through it...but he's my perfect mate. Yay!
Yes I realize that a zombie outbreak is probably never going to happen...but never say never. heh.
Now for the second part of my title subject. So, anyone who knows me knows that I'm obsessed with the PC video game Deus Ex. I have played about 45-60 times in the 6 years I've had it. It's my favorite game of all time, and it fabulous! Seriously if you haven't played it, either buy it for the PS2, for the PC, or download it for free on Gametap it is so worth it. Be warned though it's deep, complicated, and long, but so good!
Anyway, back to the reason I'm posting this. There is a spot in Deus Ex where you are outside of an abandoned gas station. You can look up and see the gas prices... Well, lets just say that there prediction was about half a century late. The game takes place in 2052, btw.
How sad is it that those look like nice cheap prices? WTF? Yeah, that sucks. :( Sigh...I need to sell a screenplay or something...
