Life is going quite well right now.
I started school again last week. So far I really like my classes. Russian is pretty hard because this time around we have a no nonsense teacher who isn't dicking around for three weeks saying the same phrases over and over.
I really only needed to take one class this semester, but I finally got off my ass and applied for some financial aid and surprise I qualified so this entire semester is only costing me $15. It's so awesome, I'm basically going to be able to get most of my preparation for major classes out of the way so when I get to SDSU all I really need to do is take one last semester of Russian to earn my minor, one semester abroad probably at Moscow State University, and then to do my thesis.
For the first time in a long time I have some direction and I've finally got a break on fees. It's going to be nice.
Just that entire having to study thing sucks, but I really like my major. I just wish there was a bit more focus on the "conflict" aspect of it.
And the best part is that I'm taking another class with Prof. Di Bella! If you've had him before you know how amazing of a teacher he is.
Aside from school stuff things are quite good. I'm getting to hang out with my friends just about every day and I'm getting ready for a race I have at MCRD on October 6th. I'm getting more into bouldering and I'm really going to start tackling the boulders behind West Hills, so if anyone wants to come just let me know.
I'm probably going to stop going to LA Fitness soon. It's an alright gym and all, but I'll be at SDSU soon and the ARC is a lot cheaper plus they have a much better facility. I'm actually going three or four times a week now so if I continue at that rate at the ARC then my monthly dues will pay for themselves.
This is going to be a great year once it gets a little cooler.
