Confidential to Canadian viewers with cable or the equivalent: ladies, start your VCRs! Tomorrow is Whedon Day at SPACE. They're showing all 15 episodes of Firefly back to back, bookended by three episodes of Buffy, and five episodes of Angel.

And on Tuesday night, the same channel is premiereing The Sentinel. Finally, I'll get to experience Jim being all (in the immortal words of
lit_gal "big and grrr", and pretty, pretty Blair. Apparently it's so damn slashy that one can quite overlook the lapses into 80s cheesiness. I can hardly wait, yo.

In less edifying news, my scanner has begun a sad decline. I was just doing a final scan on a commissioned piece earlier today when the machine made a horrible little grindy noise, and packed it in. The tech-husband was sure it had actually died, but he brought it back from the edge with the electronic equivalent of one of those cardiac booster-cable manuoevres: you know, "CLEAR!" k-CHOONK!
It already has a one-pixel-wide defect on the scanning head, causing a line that needs to be manually removed from the final image.
I guess scanners are cheaper and maybe even better now than when we bought this one. Still doesn't make me look forward to the necessity of buying a new scanner when this one gives up the ghost for the last time. Wah.
