LJ Interests meme results

1. alternative music:
   I like music that has interesting lyrics, or tells stories. A good tune is nice, too. I like silly and angsty and just about everything but smutty (which is strange because I like just about everything ELSE smutty). It's just, so much of music is about screwing that, believe it or not, it's boring. Unless it's two guys getting it on. "L-O-L-A Lola!" Or two girls, "They can have their diamonds and we'll have our pearls."
2. anime:
   Full Metal Alchemist is pretty much eating my soul, but I also love Slayers (why can't there be more?). Saiyuki (what's not to like about 4 guys er... bonding). Inuyasha (though admittedly I'm beginning to get a bit bored. I wish their characters would develop and change a bit). I really liked Paranoia Agent. Samarai Champloo. Cowboy Bebop and oh a whole mess of others.
3. fma:
   FMA eats my soul. I'm currently in lust with Al (of any age and condition), though I have a soft spot in my heart for Hughes. And Roy is totally my bitch. I identify WAY too much with him for his own good. I pour out all my good and bad into him. I like Ed of course, too, but you know, there is just so much of him around and so little of everyone else.
4. pink floyd.:
   Beautiful sound, haunting lyrics, deep concepts. It's hard to think of how you can get righter than this group. Though Sting, Planet P, Concrete Blonde, Alan Parson, Enya and Moody Blues and a number of others do a good job too.
5. raising kids:
   My son and my daughter are 90 percent of who I am right now. They are my life. There is nothing I value more (though my husband comes a close second). What can I say, as much as I complain about them, their lives, their futures are so infinitely precious to me that there are no words to explain just how profoundly my soul is entwined with their fate. I don't know how my parents coped with losing my sister. It would kill me to lose one of mine.
6. saiyuki:
   Another fun group. I think what I love most about this foursome is the chemistry. They seem so comfortable with each other. Now personally I think they are all gayer than gay, (and there is cirtainly enough subtext to support this) but aside from the undercurrent of lust, they just click together so well. I'm almost envious.
7. science fiction:
   Oh, golly, sci fi has pwned my soul from the first time I saw some. Babylon 5 is still my all time favorite show. I love Firefly, too. Oh Battle Star Galactica is awesome! I love stories that are focused on plot and environment and that's what Sci-fi has in spades.
8. writing:
   I wrote my first "novel" at 9 years old and haven't stopped. I've written cliffhangers with friends, novels on my own, even collaborated with my husband-to-be on a novel. I've also written essays. Writing fanfic is relatively new. This is the only hobby I haven't had to give up for my family.
