My friend gave me a "gist" translation of what is going on between Scar and Marcoh and it's ... omg LOVE.

Marcoh is BEGGING Scar to kill him, and Scar is saying "no!"

im not sure that she is with them any longer, as it looks like there are scars running through the tattoo, breaking the array. Perhaps she has done it herself, or perhaps it was done to her? But there was definately an intent to be immune to Roy's fire alchemy, i think.
