Total Insanity
We just went through one HELL of an ordeal this morning.
We woke up to find that our fucked up landlord had shut all the electricity off in the house. Everything was gone...heat, lights, the clocks. We had no idea what time it was. Our phones wouldn't work either, because they're cordless and so when the electricity goes, so do they. And he turned the fucking water off too!
Both my mom and Frank tried knocking on his door, but they got no answer. Frank pounded so loudly that it would have been impossible not to hear it. So we figured that he was either simply avoiding us, or had perhaps even killed himself.
We decided to go down to the police station. When we hopped in the car it was 7:48 a.m., so that's an indication as to how early this shit was happening. The cops weren't even in at that hour, so they had to call some officers in from off the streets. We talked to them, expressed what was going on and that our landlord has been acting very erratically again. We also told them that we'd tried contacting his social worker yesterday (which is true, we left a message on her voicemail).
After giving them our statements they said they'd call him. So we left the station and went to a restaurant to kill some time. When we got back to the house, at around 9 a.m., the power and water were back on. We don't know what exactly transpired while we were gone, but it got the utilities restored, so thank god for that much.
I hope they haul him off again. I want this lunatic back in the psych ward. That would be the best birthday present I could ever get.
