Killed Deathwing last night, easily. One wipe on Spine due to shenanigans, one wipe on Madness due to a poorly-communicated bop rotation and/or tank not popping cooldown because he thought he was getting a bop, otherwise a straight-up 2 hour steamroll. And 10 minutes. But there was an unauthorized afk at one point, sooo...progress. Yay :D Now I have to start looking into possible heroics and see if we want to attempt those. Boo :( I THINK I'd prefer to wait until Deathwing is on farm a bit more first, but we'll see.
I don't think my Renegon is going to get to romance anyone. No time for love, Doctah Jones! I'm playing it as someone who values chain of command and following orders, ruthlessly if need be; not afraid to use his fists or his gun to carry out The Mission but willing to pursue gentler paths if violence can be avoided, willing to sacrifice the few for the many but only if necessary (that means Bring Down The Sky's engineers had to die, but Balak was taken alive for questioning). Undecided on the Rachni Queen...but leaning towards acid bath. But that has unpleasant implications on the genophage; he wouldn't throw away the krogan military but he also wouldn't want a repeat of the rachni. Can't we just PARTIALLY genophage the krogan? D: Not one-in-a-thousand live birth like it is now, but SOME manner of population reduction? Or just like...give them several shiploads of space condoms? Oh man, being Paragon means so much less thought put into these decisions :p Hell yes I'll save the Queen, can't condemn you for your centuries' old ancestors getting indoctrinated, I'd have to kill all sapient life if I'm holding being indoctrinated against folks. Hell yes I'll save Wrex and cure the genophage, Wrex is my kro-bro. My brogan. Argh I don't knooow. These moral dilemmas suck. :| Though I guess I'll be able to do Zaeed and Garrus's loyalty missions Renegadely without fear. HATED them Paragon-like - what, you're going to talk Garrus out of killing Sidonis, the guy who betrayed him and got his friends and fellow vigilantes brutally murdered, why...because Sidonis feels bad about it now? Better not look too closely at your own body count. Letting Sidonis live, he confesses to the murders, but tough luck, there's no government to extradite him to. But at least he's REALLY SORRY. There's no justice there. And at least if you found out in 3 that he had tried to atone for his betrayal by helping you somehow sparing him would have had merit. But as far as I know, you never see him again, and you certainly can't try to save Garrus's soul, your hands are just as bloody.
Zaeed: Hey Shepard come help me kill the guy who betrayed me that I've spent years looking for and only just now tracked down
Shepard: Okay sure buddy no problem wait no gotta save these factory workers, and for some reason I can't just leave squadmate #3 to turn off the gas valves and go help you take him down, and also for some reason we can't just order the Normandy to shoot the shuttle out of orbit...wait what? siiigh
